The Argentina national team in the match of the 2nd round of the 2022 World Cup defeated the team of Mexico - 2:0. After the fight, the Argentines celebrated the victory in the locker room: in one of the episodes, Lionel Messi kicked the Mexican T-shirt, taking off his shoes.
Mexican undisputed middleweight champion Saul Alvarez commented on this episode:
“Messi wiped the floor with our T-shirt and flag? I pray to God not to meet him! Argentina should respect Mexico as much as I respect her. I am not talking about the country (Argentina), but about Messi and the bad deed that he did, ”Alvarez wrote on his Twitter page.
