Carlos Queiroz, head coach of the Iranian national team, announced his resignation after the 2022 World Cup match against the United States.

Recall that the national team of the country, which actively supports Russia in the war against Ukraine, dropped out of the World Cup, losing in the last round of the group round to the United States (0:1).
