The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has issued a statement regarding the holding of the next reporting and election Congress of the organization, which, among other things, should host re-elections of the UAF President.
“In a number of media there were reports about alleged preparations for an extraordinary Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association on December 20, 2022. However, this information is not true.
Recall that the next reporting and election Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association was scheduled for March 5, 2022. However, as a result of the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, the UAF Executive Committee decided to postpone the XXV regular reporting and election Congress of the UAF and set the date for its holding after the abolition of martial law in Ukraine.
In addition, on September 5, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv issued a ruling prohibiting the UAF from preparing, holding and considering at the reporting and election XXV Congress of the UAF issues on the agenda regarding the election of the President of the UAF, first vice-presidents, vice-presidents, members Executive Committee and Auditing Body of the UAF.
Thus, as of today, holding the next XXV reporting and election Congress of the UAF is possible only after the abolition of the martial law regime in Ukraine and a judicial ban on these actions," the UAF statement, published on official website this organization.
