As previously reported, last Friday, December 2, the group stage of the 2022 World Cup ended in Qatar. Until this day, only the Brazilian team from all the participants in the tournament remained the team that could win all the matches of the group stage. But the Brazilians lost to Cameroon - 0:1.
Thus, none of the 2022 World Cup teams managed to win all three matches in the group. The last time this happened was 28 years ago, at the 1994 World Cup. Since then, at each World Cup, there have always been at least two teams that took the maximum points in their group.
Teams that have won all their group matches at the World Cup since 1994:
1998 World Cup: France, Argentina
World Cup 2002: Spain, Brazil
World Cup 2006: Germany, Portugal, Brazil, Spain
World Cup 2010: Argentina, Netherlands
World Cup 2014: Netherlands, Colombia, Argentina
World Cup 2018: Uruguay, Croatia, Belgium
