England midfielder Raheem Sterling has left the 2022 World Cup early due to an armed robbery at the player's home.
According to The Guardian, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, Sterling's mansion in the suburbs of London was attacked. At the time of the robbery, Rahim's girlfriend and children were in the house. The player hastily left the location of the national team to support loved ones.
Earlier it was reported that Sterling was not included in the team's application for the 2022 World Cup round of 16 match against Senegal (3:0) due to personal reasons.
