The goalkeeper of Kharkiv "Metalista 1925" Oleg Mozyl, who scored a top match against "Dynamo" (0:0) in the 15th round of the championship of Ukraine, spoke about his success.
Oleg Mozil (photo: upl.ua)— Oleg, we congratulate you on being recognized as the best player of the final round of the UPL 2022 and the month of November. And how did your team manage to take points away from Dynamo Kyiv?
— Due to a disciplined game in defense. In my opinion, our team played well in defense and attack. Had moments ahead to score. Therefore, I believe that a positive result was achieved due to a disciplined game.
— Dynamo fired almost three dozen shots, but your team also had opportunities to score. Could "Metalist 1925" expect to win this match?
— Of course, that could be expected. We had our moments. There were not many of them, but if they had been implemented, they probably could have won.
— Have you ever prepared for an opponent's penalty kick before a match? After all, Tsygankov had missed the mark before.
— No, I didn't particularly prepare. It so happened that God helped, fought back.
— And how did you save the penalty: did you react after the kick or did you choose a corner even before it?
— Tried to stand until the end, but in the end guessed.
— Did you think that after the end of the match you will be recognized as the best player of the 15th round of the UPL?
— No, I didn't even think about it. Of course, I'm glad that my game was recognized, but I didn't think about it at all after the match.
— What were the emotions in the dressing room after the final whistle? Wasn't there some disappointment that they didn't make their moments?
— I would not say that the boys were disappointed. The team was happy about one point. We were satisfied with the result on the scoreboard.
— Can you single out the match that was the most difficult for you in the first part of this championship?
— I think the game with Dynamo. I won to zero. There was no particular pressure, I just did my job. But nothing special happened to me.
— Can you rate this Premier League season? Which team surprised and which disappointed?
— I can only speak for those games in which I participated. Among the opponents, the strongest team was "Dynamo". Sure, they're back in the lead now, but I don't understand why they're slowing down so much, to be honest. From what I experienced myself, the most difficult game was with the Kyiv club. They play great on the ball, they don't allow you to breathe easily when pressing, so it was extremely difficult to play against them. And in principle, no one surprised me more.
