The Portuguese national team defeated the Swiss team in the 1/8 final match of the 2022 World Cup, winning with a score of 6:1.

Forward Goncalo Ramos scored a hat-trick in this game and scored an assist.

According to the analytical portal Opta, Ramos became the second footballer in history to score three goals in one match at his first World Cup.

Previously, only the German Miroslav Klose managed to do this at the 2002 World Cup in a match with Saudi Arabia (8: 0).
