As already reported, the Dnipro-1 club base, as well as the property of the Dnipro-Arena stadium, were put up for auction. The essence of the ongoing process was explained by the well-known Ukrainian TV commentator Igor Tsyganik.
“Both the Dnipro-Arena stadium itself, and its property, and the property of the Dnipro-1 training base were the assets of PrivatBank. After this bank was nationalized, all these assets became state property. But spending public funds on sports facilities of this level is quite difficult.
As a result, it was decided to sell both the stadium and the base at auction, so that investors who are ready to purchase them would look for opportunities to build some kind of business around these facilities and develop them.
Well, Dnepr-1, as far as I know, after the nationalization of PrivatBank, simply rented both the training base and the Dnepr-Arena stadium from the state,” Tsyganyk said.
