A group of non-governmental organizations, together with Brazil's National Forum for the Protection of Animals, has sued the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) over the cat incident at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, reports El Grafico.
It will be recalled that at the pre-match press conference on the eve of the match of the 1/4 finals of the 2022 World Cup Croatia - Brazil (1:1, 4:2 - on penalties), an employee of the press service of the Brazilian national team threw out a cat that climbed onto the table where the football players are sitting.
According to the source, the amount of the lawsuit is about 176 thousand euros. The plaintiffs also demanded a public apology from CBF.
