Former Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Svyatoslav Syrota reacted to the news that FIFA refused President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky when he wanted to record an appeal with a "message about the importance of peace in the world" ahead of the 2022 World Cup final.
“Infantino is a disgrace to world football. Accidentally getting to the post of FIFA president, he calls into question its integrity. The refusal to speak to the President of Ukraine once again shows the hidden pro-Moscow nature of Infantino. Only under pressure from the world community did he impose temporary sanctions against the teams of the world enemy.
I don’t know how, but the world community, the Ukrainian sports society should influence him. Because football is the most massive sport in the world. And to have a latent admirer of world evil at the head of the main football organization of the world is a very big luxury for the present. Everyone who is not with us is against us,” Sirota wrote on his Facebook page.
Recall that the ex-Dynamo player has been in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the first days of the war. At the moment, Sirota is undergoing rehabilitation after being injured.
