Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema may decide to retire from his country's national team, AS reports.
The blame for everything is the conflict between the 35-year-old football player and the head coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps, which arose during the 2022 World Cup. Disagreements between the parties began at the beginning of the World Cup, when Benzema, despite the injury that left him out of the World Cup, wanted to remain at the disposal of the national team, but Deschamps was against it.
As a result, Benzema cut off all contacts with the coaching staff of the French national team, and later rejected the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron to attend the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.
