The Polish media have named three main contenders for the post of coach of the national team after the dismissal of Czesław Mikhnevich.

According to the Meczyki portal, the main selection criterion for the Polish Football Federation is the results and success of the candidate at the international level. Now the main contenders for the post of coach of the national team are: Vladimir Petkovic, Roberto Martinez and Herve Renard.

Petkovic previously worked successfully with the Swiss national team. Martinez was a mentor for Belgium, having managed to win the 2018 World Cup bronze with the team. Renard led Saudi Arabia at the 2022 World Cup.
