Former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid head coach Jupp Heynckes has spoken about the difficulties he faced following a recent heart operation.
Jupp HeynckesThe 77-year-old specialist recently returned home from Düsseldorf University Hospital after heart surgery. Heynckes stayed in the intensive care unit for about two weeks.
"It was the worst time in my life. I couldn't sleep, time seemed like an eternity. It was a martyr's life. I did not expect the operation to be so serious. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the doctors and all the staff who took care of me," Heynckes was quoted as saying by Kicker.
