The new head coach of the Malta national football team, Michele Marcolini, spoke at a press conference about his vision for the team's game and defined his main goal.
Michele Marcolini — I am very proud that I have been appointed head coach of the Malta national team. I think to get the most out of players who have significantly increased their level recently. I will be building on the good work done by my predecessor, but intend to introduce some of my own ideas to hopefully improve the game even further. I have gained experience over the years of my football career and it will help me earn the recognition of the Maltese fans, Marcolini said.
The Ukrainian national team will play its first match against the Maltese national team on June 19, 2023, with the return match on October 17.
