First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sports Zhan Beleniuk commented on the sanctions against Tymoshchuk in connection with Russian athletes.
Zhen Beleniuk— I do not know whether Tymoshchuk still has any property left in Ukraine, but with this decision we did everything so that nothing would connect him with Ukraine. So far, we have listed 56 athletes. But immediately after the publication of this list, my colleagues started calling me and calling me new names of the enemies of Ukraine, and providing video evidence of their hostile views.
