Site «Ukrainian football » conducted a survey to determine the best football player of Ukraine in 2022. Experts and journalists chose the best player in the traditional "UF" polling system.
"Youth of Ukraine", the publication from which the newspaper "Ukrainian Football" began its history, first determined the best football player of the Ukrainian SSR in 1969. In the future, "MU" conducted polls with stable constancy, including in its golden list such big names as Viktor Serebryanikov, Volodymyr Muntyan, Yevhen Rudakov, Oleg Blokhin, Vitaly Starukhin, Oleg Taran, Anatoly Demyanenko, Gennadiy Lytovchenko, Oleksiy Mykhailichenko, Volodymyr Bezsonov The last laureate was Serhiy Yuran, one of those who got lost in the transition period and did not fully realize his potential.
In 1991, "UF" seized the initiative. Since then and until the end of the publication of the newspaper, referendums were held every year, where the football community determined the best football player of Ukraine. There were different formats — they experimented with limiting the choice to a predetermined list, with finding a balance in the number and quality, so to speak, of respondents. But in the end, the ideal option crystallized — representatives of all domestic professional clubs, leading football organizations, honored veterans of the coaching and game workshops.
