FIFA will not prevent the participation of the Russian team in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup when the Russian Football Union (RFU) is transferred to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Match TV assures.

According to the source, FIFA noted that such a position of the organization could become a decisive argument for the transfer of the RFU from UEFA to the AFC.
