Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta commented on Arsene Wenger's visit to the Emirates to watch the London derby with West Ham (3:1).
"He chose the right moment, a really special day because Boxing Day is a great time for football. I think today's level of play met Wenger's expectations. The players were not aware of his visit. We wanted to keep it quiet and give Arsen space.
Thank you very much for your visit, Arsen. I hope that as he walks through the building, he will feel all that is thought of him, the legacy that he has left here. Also, his presence has to be very, very attached to this football club," Goal quoted Arteta as saying.
