Former midfielder of the Ukrainian national team Yevgeny Levchenko believes that Viktor Tsygankov should not renew his contract with Dynamo Kyiv. The current agreement of the 25-year-old football player with the White-Blues is calculated until the next summer.
“I have no questions about Tsygankov’s football qualities. He can play great matches, he has speed, dribbling, understanding of the game, good passing. But is he ready to play all the games at the highest level, and will he be able to do it? This is a question, of course.
First, he needs to leave Ukraine and try to play in the top European championship. Because now a football player who is 25 years old, who has matured and overripe the Ukrainian championship, in my understanding, needs to leave and progress. It's too early to talk about the springboard. We do not know if he will be able to play in the European Championship.
I hope that Tsygankov will not renew his contract with Dynamo. I think that this player has completely outgrown our championship, and the lack of competition and progress will not play the best role for him. I am sure that he still has potential for growth and he deserves to try himself in a stronger championship. Let the Dutch champion be a springboard for him, and it would be great if Tsygankov moved to another championship and showed his best side, ”Levchenko said.
