Australia opposes Russia's entry into the Asian Football Confederation.
"Russia's membership in UEFA or AFC has no bearing on the main issue, which is that Russia should be banned from international sports competitions.
They deprived themselves of the right to be part of the world sports community. FIFA should be asked why they even support Russia's membership at this time," former Football Federation Australia chief executive Bonita Merciades told The Guardian.
