Last Friday, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) was held, at which the issue of Russian football leaving UEFA was considered.
As a result, no decision was made to transfer the RFU to the Asian Football Confederation. Instead, a working group will be created to study the issue of moving to Asia - all its pluses and minuses.
Recall that Russia, as a terrorist country, was expelled from all international football tournaments, both at the level of clubs and at the level of national teams. In particular, the Russian team was excluded from the 2022 World Cup qualifying round and was not admitted to the Euro 2024 qualifying round. Well, Russian clubs were excluded from all European club tournaments this season.
