Cristiano Ronaldo explained his reasons for joining Al-Nasr. The Saudi club confirmed on Friday that they had reached an agreement with the Portuguese superstar to sign him to a $75 million-a-year deal.
"I am happy to experience a new football league in another country. Seeing what Al-Nasr is doing and developing both men's and women's football in Saudi Arabia is very inspiring. It is evident from Saudi Arabia's recent performance at the World Cup that it is a country with great footballing ambitions and great potential.
I am lucky that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and now I feel that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia. I am looking forward to the opportunity to join my new team-mates and help the club achieve success with them," the Portuguese was quoted as saying by Goal.
