The following people celebrate their birthdays today:
Alexander Yatsik (2003) - Ukrainian football player, central midfielder of Dynamo Kyiv and the youth team of Ukraine. He plays in the U-19 team, but he has already made his debut for the first team of the capital club.
Anatoly Pilipchuk (1944-1997) - Soviet striker. Known for his performances in the Kyiv "Dynamo". He also defended the colors of Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro.
Yuri Sak (1967) - a former Ukrainian football player who played as a midfielder. At one time he defended the colors of Chornomorets, Metallurg and Obolon. He played 10 matches for the Ukrainian national team and scored 1 goal. Debut April 29, 1992 in a friendly match against Hungary. It was the first match in the history of the Ukrainian national team. He left at 56 minutes replacing Sergei Pogodin.
In the Higher League of Ukraine, he played 188 matches and scored 18 goals. There are 27 matches in the Ukrainian Cup, 3 goals. Member of the Cup Winners' Cup 1992–1993 (4 matches, 2 goals), member of the UEFA Cup 1995–1996 (4 matches).
At the end of his playing career, he worked as a coach at Kryvbas and Vorskla. In the first half of the 2008–2009 season, he was the head coach of the Gornyak-Sport team.
Lee Boyer (1977) is a former English midfielder who retired from playing in 2011. He played for many English clubs, including Leeds, Newcastle, and West Ham. English Premier League record holder for yellow cards received.
