29-year-old Ukrainian striker Evgeny Bokhashvili, whose last club was the Romanian Ocelul from Galati, at the beginning of 2023 became almost the main Ukrainian football newsmaker. In an interview Fanday he told where he would continue his career.
- My departure from Ocelul happened by mutual agreement with the club, without any problems. A month ago, I started negotiating with another club from Indonesia. I understood that I would not talk to Ocelul about breaking the contract until there was some specifics, because I could stay and I had to wait for my chance and prove my right to a place in the squad. When it came to the specifics, we met with the coach and decided to part ways by mutual agreement.
In addition, there was a three-month salary arrears at Ocelul. And in the event of my departure, they had to pay compensation. I refused compensation, offered to simply close the debts. We shook hands. We parted without any scandals, this can be found through all available channels. They paid me my salary, wished me good luck in the new club.
At the moment, I have already passed a medical examination and will soon sign a contract with a new club. They asked me to arrive early, my wife and I spent the New Year on the plane and are now in Indonesia. The fact that my departure from Ocelul is in any way connected with an interview with the Romanian media is not true,” said the ex-Dniprian.
It should be noted that Bokhashvili has already played in Indonesia - in 2019-2022 for the Sleman and Persipura Jayapura clubs.
