Famous Ukrainian midfielder Sergei Kravchenko commented on his decision to end his professional playing career.
Thank you football!
It always seemed to me that this day would never come, but the time has come. I have loved football since my childhood. For as long as I can remember, I have always dreamed of becoming a footballer. And this dream came true. And so, I don’t remember a single match, not a single training session that I would go to without the desire to work and play.
It was a real football thrill. This was the case in every team, and all of them will forever remain in my heart.
I thank all my coaches, partners and staff with whom I was lucky to live this football life. I have always respected the fans and appreciated their support. I am grateful to my family, who were always there and passed through all my emotions.
I am sure that football will continue to be an integral part of my life, but it will be a different, new life. In a peaceful and free country.
“The best thing in the world is to play football,” the legendary Johann Cruyff once said. And then he added: “The second best thing is to train.” I hope it will be the same for me. So to new meetings on the football fields!” Kravchenko wrote on his page on the social network Facebook.
Recall that now Kravchenko will start his coaching career - so far as an assistant to the new head coach of Oleksandriya Ruslan Rotan.
