The municipal stadium in the Moroccan city of El Qasr el Kabir now bears the name of the 24-year-old football player of the national team and the French club Paris Saint-Germain Ashraf Hakimi, the player himself boasted on Facebook.
Hakimi personally attended the ceremony organized in his honor by the city authorities. Thousands of local residents greeted the pet with traditional songs and dances.
“I am honored to have a football stadium that bears my name. I thank the authorities and residents of the city for their support and love for me. I am happy to return to this city, the city of my mother, which holds a special place in my heart, and to be among you, my family and my loved ones. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Hakimi wrote.
