The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has issued a decision on the conduct of Serbian, Mexican and Ecuadorian fans at the 2022 World Cup.
Ecuador was fined 20,000 Swiss francs and a partial closure of the stadium (stand behind the goal) in the next official FIFA match. The reason is the discriminatory chanting of Ecuadorian fans in the match against Qatar.
Mexico received a fine of 100,000 Swiss francs and 1 match without fans, but the team has been given a trial period so far. The reason is the discriminatory exclamations of Mexican fans in matches against Poland and Saudi Arabia.
Serbia was fined 50,000 Swiss francs and a partial closure of the stadium (25% of the seats) in the next official FIFA match. The reason is the discriminatory exclamations of the fans and the inappropriate behavior of the team in the match against Switzerland.
Cases have also been opened against Argentina and Croatia. In the first case, the behavior of the team during the 2022 World Cup final will be investigated, in the second, the Croatian match against Morocco.
