The former sports director of Minai, Mikhail Kopolovets, commented on the likelihood of Sergei Rebrov being appointed as the head coach of the Ukrainian national team.
- In my opinion, Rebrov should be the coach of the national team. This is a young ambitious coach who has proven himself from the best side. It shows the result. In the meantime, Rebrov is busy at Al-Ain, you need to appoint an acting one. This person needs to be honestly told: you accept the national team, you train, but you leave in June.
Who can be such a specialist? You know, this role is unenviable, so I don't want to offend anyone. But if we discard sentimentality, I will say that Alexander Shovkovsky could coach the team for some time. He has already worked in the national team and enjoys authority. Also, I would not mind seeing Miron Markevich in this post. But, firstly, he will not agree to this, and secondly, they will not offer him this (there is a long-standing resentment), the expert said.
