The Hammers want to sign an experienced defender in the winter transfer window. David Moyes' team are waiting for Craig Dawson's contract to expire, so they are considering the 29-year-old defender as an alternative. The recent emergence of left-back Luke Shaw at the heart of the Red Devils' defense has further cast doubt on Erik ten Hag's need for an England international this season.
