The head coach of Shakhtar Donetsk Igor Jovicevich, commenting on the defeat of his team in the first test match against Vienna Austria (1:2), indirectly touched upon the departure of Mikhail Mudrik from the club, who, as you know, moved to London Chelsea.
“First of all, it’s good that there are no injuries — this is the most important thing at this stage of preparation. Everything was implemented well in most cases. Of course, the result is not positive, and we cannot be very happy now. Although this is less important, because other aspects are more important to me. And, of course, the team cannot reach the peak of form, as in the championship, because only the first cycle ended with today's game. We can say that everything is according to plan.
But we still have work to do. Let's rest a bit and prepare for the second cycle, where we will increase the load - both individual for the players themselves, and collective. I think everything will be fine. We must also learn to live without Misha Mudrik, we must all understand the responsibility of each player to add everyone to their position. And then we can really stay in these places, as contenders for the championship, ”said Jovicevich.
