Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Subimendi has refused to move to London's Arsenal, reports Cadena SER.
The Gunners wanted to sign the 23-year-old during the January transfer window and were ready to pay the 60 million euro release clause in the Spaniard's contract. The Londoners turned first to the club, and then to the player himself.
Subimendi decided to stay at his current club, so he turned down Arsenal's offer. The midfielder believes it would be a bad move to leave the team in the middle of the season.
Martin has made 17 appearances for Real Sociedad in La Liga this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
