Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matvienko will continue his career at Brighton, according to well-known journalist and insider Nicolo Schira.
According to the source, the 26-year-old has already agreed on a personal contract with Brighton. It is reported that Matvienko will sign an agreement with this club for a period of five years.
Clubs are also close to signing a deal. Brighton will pay Shakhtar 20 million euros for the transfer of the Ukrainian defender.
Recall that the head coach of Brighton is the former Shakhtar coach Roberto De Zerbi - it was he who was personally interested in signing Matvienko.
