The Russian Football Union (RFU) held its first meeting with UEFA in its attempt to bring Russian teams back into world football. Recall that from the very beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine, all the football of the aggressor country has been thrown out of all international tournaments, both at the club level and not at the level.
“The working meeting between the RFU and UEFA has ended. The key theme was the need to return Russian teams and clubs to international competitions. The parties agreed on the procedure for further interaction and agreed to continue contacts. The next face-to-face meeting with the participation of representatives of the RFU and UEFA will take place in February, ”the RFU press service said in a statement regarding the results of the meeting with UEFA.
