The information that negotiations between the English Brighton and Donetsk Shakhtar regarding the transfer of the Ukrainian club's defender Mykola Matvienko may come to a standstill is confirmed by other sources.
“The story of Nikolai Matvienko has not ended, but in negotiations with Brighton, the parties are really far from a compromise,” journalist Igor Burbas said.
Recall that the British have already sent Shakhtar two proposals for the acquisition of a 26-year-old football player, but in both cases they received a categorical refusal. In the first case, Brighton expressed their willingness to pay 11 million euros for such a transfer, and in the second case, 20 million euros. According to media reports, Shakhtar intends to sell Matviyenko for 30 million euros. At the same time, the player himself has already agreed with Brighton a contract for five years.
