The "Dynamo" midfielder was recognized as the best football player of Ukraine in the U-19 age category in 2022

"Dynamo" midfielder Nazar Voloshyn, who debuted in the Premier League in the 2022/2023 season, was recognized as the best football player of Ukraine in 2022 in the U-19 age category. This is what the experts of the "Golden Talent" project decided during the final voting, traditionally held for the 10th year in a row.

Nazar Voloshyn is the best football player of Ukraine in 2022 in the U-19 age category! He took first place in the rating, which was formed on the basis of the final survey of experts of the "Golden Talent" project.

For the 19-year-old football player, the 2022/2023 season was the first one spent at the Premier League level - on loan from Kryvbas. And the first half of the year in the elite division, the student of Kharkiv football played very well - 4 goals in 13 matches of the championship of Ukraine speak for themselves. Therefore, it is not for nothing that Dynamo Kyiv gives Voloshyn the opportunity to show himself in the first team during the winter training sessions. There is no guarantee that he is already ready to perform in the "Dynamo" base, but he deserved the chance.

But this is already the year 2023, and in 2022, Voloshyn had only one real competitor in the absent competition for the title of the best football player of Ukraine U-19 - the central midfielder Marko Sapuga ("Rukh").

Both won the qualifying round stages, which are monthly expert polls in the scheme of the Golden Talent project. Voloshyn was No. 1 in September and November, Sapuga in October. In the finals, Voloshyn was ahead of Sapuga both by the number of mentions in the questionnaires - 137:107, and by the number of first places in the questionnaires - 70:45. Therefore, he took first place in the final rating with an advantage of almost 100 points.

As in 2021, the fourth step of the rating is held by Oleg Ocheretky (Shakhtar). And the only legionnaire among the finalists - Yehor Yarmolyuk, who in the summer of 2022 changed "Dnipro-1" to the English Brentford, where he already made his debut for the main team, came in third place.

But four football players applied for the fifth step at once. And here the collective opinion of experts diverged. According to the total number of mentions in questionnaires No. 5 — Artem Smolyakov (27). Anton Tsarenko ("Dynamo") and Dmytro Kapinus ("Metalist 1925") have the best results in terms of the number of first places - 3 each. Tsarenko received more points in the final vote taken separately - 42.

But. In addition to the points in the final vote, the finalists also received traditional bonuses based on the results of the qualifying round (monthly polls plus overall rating). First place in the monthly survey is awarded 5 points, second place - 4, third place - 3, fourth place - 2, fifth place - 1. Points are awarded to players from the top 10 in the overall ranking (first place - 10 points, second — 9, ..., tenth — 1).

And after adding bonuses, Vitaly Roman from "Rukh" made it to the fifth step.

We will remind that the experts of the "Golden Talent" project are coaches, famous footballers and journalists in the past. In total, 155 questionnaires were considered in the final voting stage.

Voloshyn became the ninth football player who was recognized as the best in the U-19 age category during the 10 years of the "Golden Talent" project. Only Ilya Zabarny managed to win this title twice (2020, 2021).
