Argentina striker Lionel Messi explained his gesture to his wife after the Albiceleste's victory at the World Cup in Qatar.

"Why did I tell Antonella that's it?" Because it's over after so many years of suffering. There were times when I suffered a lot with the national team, there were many disappointments, lost finals. I received a lot of criticism of all kinds. And my family suffered much more than I did. Now it's full circle - we've won the America's Cup, the World Cup. That's all. Messi helped Argentina win the third World Cup in its history. Lionel was also named player of the tournament.
