The well-known Ukrainian journalist and commentator Ihor Tsyganyk expressed his opinion on the start of the Ukrainian national team in the qualification for Euro-2024 on the air of the "Tsyganyk Live" program.

I also did not understand why the agreement with Rebrov was not signed. If he has six months before the end of the contract, and if he initiated and had the desire, he would have already signed the contract. And we would at least understand that we have had a head coach since June. At the moment, I understand that there are no official papers with Rebrov. The desire of the UAF for Rebrov to lead is there, but for now it is only a desire.
Pavelko said that we attach great importance to one game with England. This is a very important game. We are playing with England, on the road, without a coach! Imagine. As far as I understand, the UAF has an idea that they will agree with Rebrov in June, and England will be taken by conditional Vicente Gomez or one of Rebrov's assistants who knows his work. And then Rebrov will join.
But this is wrong. We can fail the selection - not go to the European Championship, get into the third basket again - not go to the World Cup. And where will we educate young people? We have never had a coach two months before the selection. At least I don't remember that," Tsyganyk said.
