Officially. John Heytinga is the head coach of "Ajax"

The former player of the Netherlands national team, John Heitinga, has been appointed to the position of head coach of Ajax, the press service of the Dutch team reports.

As the source informs, the club bosses initially appointed Heiting as the acting head coach. However, after a crushing victory over "Excelsior" (4:1), they concluded a contract with him until the end of the current season.

The day before, Ajax fired Alfred Schroeder, who headed the team only last summer. Under Schroeder's leadership, Ajax went on a seven-game winless streak in the Dutch championship.
