"Dynamo" midfielder Samba Diallo left for the youth team of Senegal, which is preparing for participation in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Samba Diallo (photo: A. Lukatsky, fcdynamo.com)This year, the tournament will be held in Egypt, with matches taking place from February 19 to March 11. In the group stage, Senegal will play in a quartet with Nigeria (February 19), Mozambique (February 22) and the hosts (February 25).
According to the regulations, the two best national teams from the three groups will advance to the quarterfinals, as well as the two teams with the best performance from the third-placed teams.
Let's add that Senegal's youth team has played in the U-20 African Cup of Nations finals three times in its history (in 2015, 2017 and 2019), but never became the champion of the continent.
