Dynamo midfielder Serhiy Sydorchuk, in an interview with Sport Arena TV, spoke about his dialogue with the former head coach of the White-Blues Oleksiy Mykhailychenko during the Ukrainian Cup Round of 16 match against Shakhtar in the 2019/2020 season.

Sidorchuk turned to Mikhailichenko, asking why a substitution was not made at the end of the game in order to play for time. The mentor replied: “Yes, we tried!”.
“It was a tense match, and I approached the coach on emotions. I thought then and I think now that it was necessary to make a replacement in order to slow down the pace a little and buy time. But I'm not a coach and I don't know how he saw this situation. These are all emotions. Gerson apologized for his behavior and so did I. There was nothing terrible here. The main thing is that we won the match and moved on. Everything was forgotten,” Sidorchuk said.
