Maksim Shatskikh, head coach of Pakhtakor Tashkent, commented on the 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv at the Turkish training camp.
Maxim Shatskikh- Was this match important for you personally as a Dynamo legend?
- Honestly? No. It was just a friendly, the last game at this training camp. Fatigue and everything else was accumulated. An ordinary friendly match, but, so to speak, with an overtone. After all, "Dynamo" (Kyiv) is "Dynamo" (Kyiv), and this sparring is good enough, very good. And it is the most important for us at this training camp. We put it on the last day before the departure, to finally test our strength - and it is in a match against a strong opponent.
- Is it already a good tradition for these teams to play at the training camp ?
- Well, where can we go? (Smiling.) God willing, we will meet and play every year.
- Do you miss Kyiv, Ukraine, your home club?
- Of course! After all, I gave more than one year to Dynamo. I miss Kyiv, the club, the guys. But I get in touch every day, I communicate with all my friends, not only football ones. I watch all Dynamo matches without exception.
- Tomorrow you fly to Tashkent?
- Yes, tomorrow we`ll fly to Tashkent. We have two days off, and we will have two more sparrings, because the championship kickoff is moved to March 3.
