"Valencia has announced on its official website the appointment of Ruben Barrach as the team's head coach.
Ruben Baraha, Getty ImagesThe 47-year-old specialist replaced Gennaro Gattuso, who was dismissed at the end of January. Baraha played for the Bats as a winger from 2000 to 2010. His coaching staff will include another former Valencia player, Carlos Marchena.
Previously, Baraha coached Elche, Rayo Vallecano, Tenerife and Zaragoza. After the 21st round of the Spanish La Liga, Valencia is 18th in the standings with 20 points.
