The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, commented on the information regarding the possible bribery of referees by the Catalan club in the period from 2016 to 2018.

And what I can say is that any picky, biased interpretation that points to something that is not there will receive a proportionate and adequate response from the club, and therefore we reserve the right to take all the actions necessary to defend the honour of Barcelona. I say this to the fans of Barcelona. It is no wonder that this information came out when Barcelona were doing well," said Joan Laporta.
Earlier it was reported that the Catalan club Barcelona was suspected of possible influence on referees during 2016-2018.
