FC Dynamo Kyiv has signed a new long-term contract with 20-year-old left-back Kostiantyn Vivcharenko.
Konstantin Vivcharenko. Photo: fcdynamo.comThe defender was born in Odesa and began his football career at the Chernomorets Children's and Youth Sports School 11. Soon after, he was invited to the academy of Dynamo Kyiv, after which he was included in Dynamo's application for the 2018/19 season. At the age of 16, he already started working with Dynamo's U19 and U21 teams, and won the Ukrainian championship as a player of both teams. As a member of the U19 team, he successfully played in the UEFA Youth League.
Since the beginning of 2020, he has been gradually involved in the Dynamo first team and took part in control matches. For the first time, Vivcharenko was included in the application of the main Kyiv team for the match for the Super Cup of Ukraine 2020, in which Dynamo defeated Shakhtar (3: 1). The defender made his debut for Dynamo's first team in the extra-time of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League qualifying match against Fenerbahce in Istanbul (2-1).
Kostiantyn made his debut with an assist, which helped Dynamo reach the next round of the Champions League qualifiers. Soon after, the defender scored his first goal - against Austrian Sturm (2-1) in the return match of the 3rd round of the Champions League qualifiers. Vivcharenko's debut in the UPL followed in the September match of the 4th round of the 2022/23 season against FC Lviv (1-0).
In total, Kostya has played 6 matches for Dynamo's first team in the UPL this season and 3 in European competitions (1 goal). He is a member of the Ukrainian youth national team, which qualified for the 2023 European Championship (11 matches, 2 goals).
