Dynamo Kyiv's winter training camp, which Mircea Lucescu's team is holding in Turkey, near Antalya, is underway.
On Friday, the White and Blues will play their next, tenth control match in a row, against the Latvian club Liepaja. On the eve of this match, Dynamo held one evening training session at the Mardan Stadium, where the game will take place.
During the warm-up, Vitaliy Kulyba offered the players an interesting exercise that caused a lot of emotions among the players - a relay race. The team that lost in this relay ended up doing push-ups.
The main work began with a ball control game exercise, during which the field players were divided into three teams wearing training shirts of different colours. At this time, the goalkeepers worked on a separate programme under the guidance of Mykhailo Mykhailov.
Next, Dynamo players were divided into two full teams of 10 field players and practised team actions in defence and attack on one half of the field with one goal and goalkeeper. While one team attacked, the other defended.
After that, the work continued in threes on a small field, where the players practiced team and individual actions in three-on-three at a very fast pace.
And the training day ended with shots on goal. This time, Mircea Lucescu offered the players a challenge - the field players, each taking one shot, had to score a certain number of goals in total. The goalkeepers' task was not to miss this number. The competition aroused a lot of emotions among the players. The field players started on a positive note after several spectacular shots on the nines, which were almost impossible to repel. However, in the end, Ruslan Neshcheret was the first to win his bet against the field players, and his colleagues supported his initiative. All the field players had to do push-ups on the pitch after competing with each goalkeeper.
On Friday, at the usual time - at 16:00 Kyiv time, the White and Blues will meet the Latvian club Liepaja. The season will resume for the Kyiv team very soon - on 4 March.
