Qatari Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, chairman of the board of Qatar Islamic Bank, made an official offer to buy Manchester United.
"Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani has personally confirmed his bid to buy 100 percent of Manchester United's shares.
With this bid, he plans to return the club to its former glory both on and off the pitch. Above all, he will try to put the fans back in the heart of Manchester United.
Offer does not include credits. The Nine Two Foundation plans to invest in the football teams, training facility, stadium, enhanced infrastructure, communities supported by the club and improving the fan experience.

More details about the tender will be released as and when appropriate, if and when the tender process develops," the Sheikh said in a statement.
According to L'Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi, the Sheikh offered 4.5 billion euros for the club.
