Today, February 24, marks one year since the night when Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine along the entire length of the common border and from the territory of Belarus. All this time, Ukraine has been putting up a fierce resistance to the invaders, united in a single strong fist and gradually moving towards the liberation of its territories.

Dynamo Kyiv has been supporting and assisting the Ukrainian military since 2014, from the beginning of the first stage of the war in eastern Ukraine, in particular, by taking care of the wounded who are undergoing rehabilitation at the Kyiv Military Hospital. However, Russia's full-scale invasion has forced all Ukrainians to expand the scope and areas of assistance to our defenders, as well as to compatriots who have suffered from the consequences of the war of aggression.

One of the main activities of FC Dynamo Kyiv and the Surkis Brothers Foundation is the purchase of necessary technical equipment and basic necessities (including personal care products), food, as well as communication equipment and reconnaissance drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, vehicles, including cars and a boat, have been repeatedly purchased and delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The second area of work is targeted assistance to civilian Ukrainians who have suffered the most from the war and to socially vulnerable groups.

Today, on the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion, another batch of humanitarian aid for a military unit has left the Valery Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium. The Ukrainian defenders will receive a whole truckload of tasty and useful cargo - dry kits for making soups and hot drinks that will allow our soldiers to eat well and maintain their strength in any field conditions.

Vitaliy Sivkov, First Vice President of FC Dynamo Kyiv and the Surkis Brothers Foundation, told more about the work of FC Dynamo Kyiv on the humanitarian front:

Today is February 24... In my memory, as well as in the memory of my family, I remember the night exactly one year ago when Kyiv was bombed at 4 am. And there is no escape from this, and this disaster will be with us. Somewhere in the neighborhood, a bucket slammed, and you thought it had started... But no, it hasn't started. I believe that we will move on, and our people and the military of the Armed Forces will give their all to ensure that we achieve the most important thing today - victory.

That is why today I have a special pleasure and trust from the leaders of the Surkis Brothers Foundation, from Grigory Mikhailovich and Igor Mikhailovich, to hand over another truck. I'm afraid to say the exact number, but the count has already passed into dozens. These trucks are carrying humanitarian aid from Europe and all over the world. You have seen today's cargo, dry soup kits and instant hot drinks, with your own eyes, and today we are handing it over to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

God willing, we will never have to celebrate such anniversaries again, and we will wait and work hard to reach the point where we achieve our main goal - victory.

We continue to work to help the heroic Ukrainian military and Ukrainians affected by the war, bringing our common Victory closer!
