The appointment of Sergey Rebrov as the head coach of the Ukraine national team seems to have been decided long ago, but with one "minor" caveat: the 48-year-old specialist will not be able to start working at the helm of the national team before the summer, because he is contracted to his current club - the Emirati Al-Ain. At the same time, details of Rebrov's future contract with the UAF have already emerged.
According to telegram channel TaToTake, Rebrov will sign a 1.5+2 contract with UAF in the summer (a year and a half starting agreement plus its possible prolongation for another two years). Thus, the coach will complete with the Ukraine national team the qualifying round of Euro 2024, as well as hold qualification for the World Cup-2026.
At the same time the information, which was previously announced that Rebrov contract will be signed for seven years at once, may be confirmed if:
- The results of the national team for the first 3.5 years are satisfactory;
- The national team pyramid built by Rebrov's headquarters proves its ability.
Recall, earlier some information appeared about the composition of the coaching staff of Sergey Rebrov in the Ukrainian national team: it is expected that his assistants will be Vicente Gomez, Luis Aragon Bayona and goalkeeper coach Rustam Khudzhamov.
