The 26-year-old is one of the top players on Liverpool's shortlist to strengthen the team's center of the field. The Reds' scouts Paul Goldrick and Barry Hunter have been closely monitoring the Nerazzurri midfielder in recent months, whose contract with Inter runs until June 2026.
Klopp's men are not performing well in the current campaign. In the Premier League, Liverpool is eighth in the standings, and recently suffered a painful defeat to Real Madrid (2:5) in the first leg of the Champions League last 16.
