Over the past year, the wealth of Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov has decreased by almost $10 billion due to the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to Forbes, Akhmetov's assets are currently worth $4.3 billion, although a year ago they amounted to about $14 billion.
During the war, Akhmetov's business lost control over many mining and metallurgical enterprises. In addition, the energy sector suffered serious losses. Currently, Akhmetov's Metinvest Group is operating at 30-50% of its capacity.
Akhmetov himself continues to stay on the territory of Ukraine, which he has not left since the beginning of the full-scale phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
